I need a job that pays me to travel

“I need a job that pays me to travel,” I say repeatedly to myself and anyone who would listen for the past 21 years.

I’m always ogling at travel photos, reading travel books, and planning new adventures. I’m saving all my pennies, working as many jobs as possible just to make my travel plans a reality. Until one afternoon, while I’m sitting lifelessly at my desk staring at my computer screen, I get a phone call, telling me I have an interview for a position as a flight attendant. Honestly, I didn’t even remember applying. But having someone who will pay me to travel seems like all I’ve been asking for my entire life, so I studied my butt off and went to that interview as prepared as I could be.

I start training in two weeks. TWO WEEKS! I have no idea what to expect, but am looking forward to sharing my experience with you guys. I haven’t even started training and I’ve planned all sorts of trips. I’m so excited to be able to go through this journey with the blogging world and be able to share what it’s like to be a flight attendant – the good, the bad, the ugly and the hilarious. This is my first year not in school and it is such a weird feeling to have spare time. I’m so excited that this time will now allow me to focus more on my blog, on my writing and on exploring the world! I can’t wait for what’s in store and I hope you will follow me along this exhilarating time in my life!

  1. You’re gonna love it. I graduated from college last August and decided to become an FA since I didn’t want to do the 9-5 thing. Training may be tough, but you’ll love it. Only thing is, you’re away from home a LOT & thy can pose a problem if you’re super family oriented or have a major case of FOMO when it comes to seeing your friends hang out without you lol. Other than that, welcome to the other side of the galley 😊✈️

    1. Aw, that is SO nice to hear! Thanks for the heads up too – it’s nice to know what I’m getting myself into!! Are you still working as a FA? 🙂
