I put this short video together after my hiking and camping adventures in Alberta, Canada. Enjoy!
Waking up in a bed knowing that we had avoided the snowfall the night before was the best feeling in the world. We lounged around until 11am when we slowly gathered the energy to move our car so we didn’t get another parking ticket. (I guess they really check those 2hr parking limits in Banff… woops.) After we got our car (with no parking ticket), we went for brunch at Melissas misteak and ate the best omelettes EVER. It was past 1pm and Vanessa and I were feeling really lazy. We quickly packed our bags and headed towards Sulfur mountain. It was a very nice trail up (minus all the tourists), and had beautiful views!
I finally slept through the night and woke up warm! BEST FEELING EVER! We made our oatmeal and coffee and were quickly on the road to the Johnson Canyon Upper Falls. It was a quick and beautiful 5km trail along waterfalls.
We woke up in the tent to -3° C. The classic trio: cold, tired, and crawling to coffee. *Drinks coffee* Somewhat ready to take on the day! We quickly packed up our camping gear and headed to Lake Louise where we were planning on climbing Mt. Fairview.
I know it has been WAY too long since I have written or done anything remotely interesting. I have been working/studying/not getting any sleep for the past 3 months. But thankfully, in less than 12 hours I will be on my way to my next adventure. My good friend Vanessa and I are flying to Calgary tomorrow morning to go hiking and camping in Alberta, Canada. We will be renting a car and travelling from Jasper to Banff to Canmore! With little sleep and lots of caffeine I will be jet set and ready to go in a few short hours – can’t wait!
Fingers crossed for no grizzlies, no rain and no blisters!
P.s. I FINALLY invested in a camera (Canon T5i)!!! So I will no longer be taking all my travel photos off my iPhone 4.
P.p.s. If you have any travel/hiking/safety tips for in the area, let me know!
Can’t wait to share my experiences with you, let the mountain climbing begin!
