4 Day Itinerary: Ireland

Flight: YYZ-YYT-DUB

Day 1

Hostel: Jacob’s Inn

I was planning on taking bus 747 to my hostel (quick and only 7euros) but the lovely crew that flew me to Dublin invited me on their shuttle to their hotel and then I just walked 5 minutes to my hostel.

Once I got to my hostel I was incredibly exhausted so I just dropped off my bags and took a 2 hour nap on the couch in the lobby since they wouldnt let me check in until 3 pm. Gotta do whatcha gotta do, am I right?

When I woke up, it was still raining outside so it felt like the perfect day to go do some shopping. There are lots of great areas to shop in Dublin, one of the best is Henry Street! I walked around and went to my favorite stores in Europe<3<3<3 I got some cheap and cute clothes from Pull&Bear and Pennies.

Around 2:30 I went back to the hostel to check in and finally shower and clean up. I then met up with the crew again in Temple Bar neighbourhood. This neighbourhood is the centre for pubs and restaurants in Dublin. The flight attendants and I went to a really cute Irish restaurant called the Boxty House for dinner. It had plenty of delicious Irish food, and gluten free options too!!

After dinner we went to another perfect non-touristy pub called the Quay to meet up with the pilots, have some pints, and listen to some live music.

Day 2

Hostel: Jacob’s Inn

Today was a lazy day for me. My sleep (or lack of sleep) caught up to me and I slept in until 1130 am!!!! Weoo. After getting my lazy ass out of bed, I got ready and took to the streets of Dublin. The sun was shinny and it was a beautiful day to walk around and explore all of Dublin’s cute neighbourhoods. I walked around Trinity College and St Stevens Park and then did a tour of Trinity College Old Library and the Book of Kells.

The library was absolutely breathtaking. Few places give you that aw-inspiring feeling – leaving you speechless but this library was one of them. I was absolutely blown away by all of the history and culture in one room. It was phenomenal.

After the tour, I went to a pub in Temple bar to listen to some live music again. Then I went to eat at Bunsen Burger (gluten free options) !! Nom it was sooo gooood.

Day 3

Hostel: Jacob’s Inn

I did a Cliffs of Moher tour with Darby O’Gills Tour Company. I started at 730 AM and went all the way until 8 PM for only 45 CAD. Honestly, it was a long day (and maybe didn’t need to be that long), but I really enjoyed seeing the cliffs.

The drive from Dublin to the Cliffs took just over 3 hours. We then spent 1.5 hours explore and hiking.

It was sooooo windy there – much more than I ever anticipated!

Afterwards we headed to Doolin where we had a little bite to eat.

After lunch, we stopped at the Burren National Park for just a quick 5 mins to take some pics.

Then we stopped for 30 mins at Blarney Castle.

Then another 3 hour drive back! I was bored on the bus and took a lot of naps so it was really hard for me to sleep. I only got a little over 2 hours before I had to wake up and head to the airport the next day. Weooo

Day 4

And back already 😦 I sadly cut my trip one day shorter than planned because of the flight loads. I was flying standby and there were not a lot of seats on the flights so I thought it would be best to try and get home earlier and leave buffer days in case I didn’t make the flight. When I did leave, the flight only had 2 open seats and 5 people on standby.. so I definitely lucked out by getting on that flight! Up next – Banff National Park ❤ !
